Ivy Clegg, is Huddersfield's oldest resident, at 107. She celebrated her Birthday in style, with a party and a special delivery from The Queen.
Ivy Clegg, who lives at Aden Court Care Home, in Huddersfield, celebrated her 107th Birthday this month. To honour the occasion, she was thrown a surprise party by her friends and relatives, including her 85-year-old niece, Audrey Barber, her 69-year-old daughter-in-law, Linda Clegg, and her 79-year-old friend Jean Bower. She received a card from the Queen, and the team at Aden Court presented her with a cake and flowers.
Ivy was living independently at home up until last year, and at 100, she was still cooking meals for her family and holidaying Blackpool. She says of Aden Court, “I came here for a holiday and stayed. Everybody here is very agreeable. They put up with me!”
