We were proud to honour our most committed and outstanding staff members, in our second Caring Hearts Awards Ceremony this November, in Birmingham.
The Caring Hearts Awards recognise those staff members who go above and beyond and provide the highest quality of care. The ceremony saw 28 members of staff from across all 21 of our care homes honoured by their peers, residents, and family members who were grateful for the warmth and care given to their loved ones.
Among the recipients were Holly Peacock, of Briarwood Care Home, who was named 'Home Manager of Year', for making positive changes within the home and providing outstanding support to her team, Sarah Johnstone, of Beechwood Care Home, picked up ‘Nurse of the Year’ for her ability to connect with residents and provide quality care, and Julie Hayes, of Aaron Court Care Home – who was presented with the ‘Meaningful Activities’ award in recognition of her work in continually delivering a fun-filled activities programme, which keeps her residents happy and healthy.
The winners were chosen by a judging panel, based upon the recipients’ extraordinary dedication and commitment to upholding our Vision and Values, and going the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of residents.
Each winner picked up the award at a ceremony held in the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham. Guests were treated to a delicious three course meal before a formal trophy presentation was made by the senior leadership team.
