Our beautiful conservatory
In 2008, our beautiful conservatory was completed which overlooks the patio and beautiful landscaped gardens.
Our Staff..here to help…
Our Home Manager has a wealth of experience in nursing and has excellent management and inter-personnel skills.
Our home...is your home
At Westbank Care Home you can relax in its large, attractive and comfortable lounge and open dining area, with quiet areas where you can read, chat or spend time with your family and friends. The new conservatory is a beautiful sun trap and offers views over our lovely gardens. The home is purpose built and is situated all on one level. It has all the facilities needed to provide a high level of dependant nursing care.
You will have your own key-worker to support you. All rooms have all the necessary safety features such as smoke detectors and a Nurse-Call system to ensure 24-hour confidence and reassurance. You will also have a care plan which is regularly reviewed to ensure that any changes in your well-being are documented and understood by all.
Bedrooms...make it your own!
You have your own room so you can maintain your independence and privacy. If you wish, you can spend time with your fellow residents in the lounge or dining area. We know how important it is to have time and space to yourself, so we put a lot of effort into making sure your room is pleasant, comfortable and personal to you.
Bedrooms are bright and comfortable and offer television aerial sockets and telephone points. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with room for you personal belongings, so you can dress your room in your own way to make it feel your own.
Your meals…lovely home cooking
We all know that food is one of life’s great pleasures, so we provide a varied choice of menu every day. You can eat in your own room or with the other residents in the dining area. As well as your main meals you can have snacks and drinks at any time of the day or night, and if you have a special diet, our fabulous Chefs will be happy to discuss it with you.
Westbank has its own laundry service, which collects and delivers clothes back to you. However, relatives may take laundry to do themselves outside the Home if they wish. We do ask that all garments are clearly labelled with the relevant person’s name to ensure all items are returned to the correct owner.
Activities...lots to do!
We are very keen to encourage everyone in our care to join in with our wide range of activities; we have an Activities Co-ordinator who provides a variety of different things for you to do. This is a great way to get to know your fellow residents. With visiting entertainers and outings if required, throughout the year there is always something to do.
Just some of the activities include: Reminiscing discussions, printing with stamps/paints, dominoes, bingo, Tai Chi, armchair exercises, craft activities (cards made for special occasions), visits made by local primary school choirs and the occasional quizzes. We also offer PAT (Pets as Therapy) which is something our residents often look forward to.
Outside the Home
Westbank is surrounded by the beautiful Kent countryside, the country known as 'The Garden of England'.
The warmer summer months can be enjoyed, sitting in the the very pretty and maintained gardens.
