Summer Fete 27th August 2011
Aldington House will be holding its summer fete on Saturday 27th August 2011 at 2pm. There will be a barbecue and a variety of delicious snacks, plenty of refreshments, music, stalls and games. Bonmarché the clothing shop will be coming to display the latest autumn fashions which will be offered at a discount price to residents and their relatives.
Aldington’s Mobile Shop Opens it’s draws in September 2011
As requested by Aldington’s residents the shop will stock: Toiletries, personal grooming items, greeting cards, confectionary and miscellaneous items. The shop will tour the home twice daily and can go to the resident, if the resident can’t go to the shop.
Aldington House residents and staff enjoy Sanskrit Singing from the Atmachaithanya Charitable Trust
The Atmachaithanya Charitable Trust (UK) kindly provided a class to the residents in August. The class involved exercises, breathing, meditation, Sanskrit singing and instrumental music. All enjoyed participating in the session.
The Music Benevolent Fund
The residents also enjoyed a live music concert from the duo John Bacon and Helen Mills from the Musicians Benevolent Fund.
