THE wet weather did not dampen the spirits of Aden Court Care Home residents who enjoyed a fun-filled day at the seaside.
Staff from the Moldgreen-based nursing home imported sand to transform their garden into a beautiful beach to round up their seaside-themed month.
Events organiser Maddie Simpson said: “It was a great day, it was a shame about the weather but everybody still came to enjoy it.
“We had grandchildren, children, staff and residents at the home and they all joined in to make the day extremely successful.
“Care home manager Lisa Boyd suggested the seaside-theme for August and we have held various events to celebrate it.
“We had a memory box and everybody had a chance to relive their memories of Bridlington, Blackpool and Scarborough with old-fashioned swimming costumes, photographs and ice-creams from Dixons.
“This was a great end to our wonderful month.”
